Good food in an interesting environment. Most of the year, Frau Gerolds in an outdoor beer garden. However, rather than being one big area with lots of picnic tables, there are lots of smaller seating areas with comfortable seats. However, our visit was in February. During this time of the year, there is a large circular building with indoor seating. Great place to eat and socialize over fondue and classic Swiss food. Local beers are available. I had the country bratwurst. The vegetables were very good. We were seated at a communal table. Our server spoke english so ordering was very easy.

This was a cool experience. I can't comment on the food much, most of it was closed but the gelato was great and reasonably priced. The beer was also good and fun to sit outside. I would return!

Good prices for Switzerland, great food and atmosphere. Kitchen wasn't open yet but grill was, so I had a sausage with potato salad and a beer. Everything was surprisingly good! Very relaxed atmosphere - You go to counter to order food and than bring it to wherever you can find a spot. Plenty of seating all around. The neighborhood is worth exploring too - lots of neat shops and bars.

Totally different, totally cool - and an oasis of a different world of peace in midst of the city. Outdoors, nested between little but wild garden parcels, simple tables and benches and sitting opportunities are the basis for an escape from a hectic life. But even better is the fact that the food (we took a Gerolds garden bowl and a fitness bowl, followed by amazing and unconventional ice cream) was simply put wonderful. Patrons flock in and the wide area can get quite packed but not stressed!

This place is very fun and welcoming for anyone. We had a very easy time finding what we wanted to eat and drink. Seating can be a bit of a waiting game, but it was worth the wait

This place is super cute. We happened to end up here on a rainy evening and saw the most amazing rainbows! We hung out and had a beer and it was very enjoyable. Definitely worth a visit.

Seems like THE place that locals go. Huge outdoor space with shops, gelato, bars and food. It was very busy on a thursday night. Really surprised there's enough seating, or maybe there isn't, you gotta search, but there's lots of nooks and crannies.

This is a really cute outdoor place. The tofu bowl was just okay. I wish they had some signs telling you what to do with your dishes when you finish since there's no table service.

I really like the vibe this place gives off. During warmer months, they have outside seating with a fire pit for you to enjoy a cold beverage and relax. Since it was in the 30's and raining, we sat inside. They have these long wooden benches/tables that remind me of medieval times. Our server was awesome and very accommodating. Just a word or warning, if there are 3 people planning on sharing the fondue, just order for 2 since they give you a lot of cheese and unlimited bread. We ended up having to throw away most of the cheese. The fondue that I ordered had a bitterness to it. It probably had to do with the wine or alcohol they put in there. It was a bit off-putting and that's probably why we didn't finish our pot.

This place is so cute!! We walked by on our way into the city center and stopped to check it out. We got raclette to share, and it was so delicious. It was cold out so some hot cheese and potatoes really hit the spot. We intended to stop back again on our way out but we took a detour (aka got lost) and then decided we were too tired for the extra stop.
